Hint: Search for your topic and be as specific as you can. For example, searching for "Capital of El Salvador" will get specific results, while "El Salvador" will get too many results.
Images
Search for images by typing your search in the top right search box. When you get your results scroll the page and click on the category you like to find a picture on your topic. Once you find a picture open it up and right click over the image. Choose "copy image location" or "copy image address" (depends on which browser you are using). Then paste the lnk into your Thinglink project.
Using Google Images is easy, but to be sure we are staying within copyright guidelines click on tools in the top navigation bar. Then choose Usage Rights, and at the bottom of the list choose Labeled for noncommercial reuse. Once you find a picture open it up and right click over the image. Videos
When searching for videos for your Thinglink project please use only YouTube or Vimeo.
Be sure to watch the entire video you are choosing before you add it to your Thinglink. You may be surprised by what people put in videos and you don't want to embarrass Ms. Caballero - right? When you do locate a video you want to use, click on the share icon under the video and copy the link (not the embed code). Use the link to add the video to your Thinglink project.
A to Z World Culture will give you almost everything you need for this project. When you arrive at the home page use the left column to locate your country. Click on it and for this assignment choose "Country Snapshot" at the top of the column. Be sure to put everything you write into your own words!
The CIA World Factbook is a great resource to use when researching countries of the world. Use the dropdown menu at the top right side of the page to locate the country you are researching.
